Citrojugo Strengthens Its Emergency Response Capabilities in Partnership with Colima State Civil Protection

Safety in an industrial company depends on many factors, and one of the most important is the preparedness of its people. Beyond infrastructure and safety protocols, having trained personnel who can respond effectively during an emergency plays a critical role in protecting employees, facilities, and operations.

With this objective in mind, a group of Citrojugo employees recently participated in an emergency response training program conducted by the Civil Protection Agency of the State of Colima. The training was designed to strengthen the company’s internal emergency response brigades and reinforce its overall preparedness.

The Importance of Training in Industrial Environments

Food processing facilities operate in complex environments where specialized machinery, continuous production processes, material handling, and a large workforce come together. In this setting, prevention and emergency preparedness are essential components of workplace safety.

For this reason, the ongoing training of emergency brigade members and the Internal Civil Protection Committee is a key part of maintaining a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

During the program, Citrojugo employees enhanced their knowledge and practical skills, improving their ability to respond in an organized and efficient manner to a variety of emergency situations. The training also reinforced the company’s internal safety protocols and coordination among different operational areas.

Working Together for the Community

As part of this collaboration, Citrojugo donated equipment that will be used by the Civil Protection Agency of the State of Colima in its emergency response operations.

The donation included tents, large-format canopies, sleeping mats, portable sanitation equipment, and various logistical support materials commonly used during emergency response operations, disaster relief efforts, and community assistance activities.

These resources help improve operational readiness by supporting the installation of temporary shelters, emergency assistance areas, and service facilities for people affected during emergencies.

A Meaningful Partnership

The equipment was formally delivered at the facilities of the Civil Protection Agency of the State of Colima through an official handover that included inventory verification and the signing of the corresponding documentation.

Beyond the formal ceremony, this collaboration represents a joint effort between a public institution and a private company committed to strengthening emergency preparedness and response capabilities across the state.

Acknowledgments

Citrojugo extends its sincere appreciation to the Civil Protection Agency of the State of Colima for sharing its expertise, providing this valuable training, and fostering a collaborative partnership dedicated to promoting a culture of prevention.

Strong collaboration between public institutions and private companies helps create safer workplaces and better-prepared communities capable of responding effectively to emergency situations.
