Tokyo, Japan | June 12th, 2025 — As part of the 20th anniversary of the Japan–Mexico Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), Citrojugo was invited to participate in an official event hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in coordination with the Mexican Ministry of Economy in Japan, the SADER Office in Japan, and the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE).

Held at MOFA’s headquarters in Tokyo, the meeting brought together government authorities, diplomats, academic leaders, and representatives from the private sector to reflect on two decades of commercial cooperation and economic development between both nations.
Citrojugo: A citrus success story between Mexico and Japan
Marcelo Zamora, Commercial Manager for Asia-Pacific at Citrojugo, presented during the business segment of the agenda, showcasing the company’s trajectory as a trusted citrus supplier to Japan. His remarks highlighted the key role that the EPA has played in facilitating trade flows, simplifying compliance with import standards, and strengthening long-term business relationships.
Citrojugo has positioned itself as a reliable source of high-quality, sustainable citrus ingredients such as essential oils, NFC juices, concentrates, and natural derivatives tailored to meet Japan’s rigorous standards for safety, traceability, and sustainability.
Institutional support for commercial integration
The event was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of key institutions from both countries.
